Oh heyyy, you're here!

Thanks for coming!

Editorial Portrait Photographer

First thing's first, I'm Paul and to put it simply, I am a creative!

Photography just happens to be one of my favorite was to bring that creativity to life. Whether I'm creating a portrait, building an editorial concept, shooting an event, or experimenting with new ideas, I'm interested in more than simply taking a picture. I like to create, not just capture. So, it's always been more than just pressing a button, it's the choices put into it that makes it what it can be.

All of those things can completely change the way an images feels. Sometimes the goal is clean and professional. Sometimes it’s expressive and creative. Sometimes it’s dramatic, unexpected, and maybe even a little weird. There are so many possibilities, and I’m okay with all of it! Because photography doesn’t have to look the same.

You might hear a lot of advice about choosing one style and sticking to it, and I can understand that. However, I personally like having room to explore. My work naturally gravitates towards fashion, editorial, conceptual, and expressive imagery, but that doesn’t mean I wan’t to limit myself to one specific look. The subject isn’t always a person; it can be a product, an environment, a moment, or an idea. Sometimes you’ll have a plan from the beginning and other times you might not. As the saying goings, it’s not where you go, but how you get there.

Where It started

I’ve been passionate about art and creativity from a young age. Through middle and high school, I explored different forms of art and creative expression, but photography was always somewhere in the mix. Eventually, like took me in different directions, and the camera wasn’t always in my hands. In the mean time I continued doing visual arts, picked up clothing design, and spent time in front of the camera myself as a model. Theater even!

It wasn’t until 2017, that I picked the camera back up. I started rediscovering the skills I’d developed before while learning how much more there was for me to explore!

Photography stopped being something I simply enjoyed and did occasionally, it became a way for me to create, experiment, communicate, and tell a story visually. And I’ve been exploring that ever since.

SO, WHY PEOPLE?

There’s something about photographing people that has always fascinated me. As well as in the art that I did. If I could photograph the idea, I drew it, and sometimes still photographed the idea later on. So, yeah, I’ve always been drawn to portraits long before I had a camera in my hands.

I found myself observing people’s features, expressions, personalities, and the way light and shadow interacted with their faces, because a person’s face can communicate so much without saying a single word.

But  portraiture isn’t just about how someone looks, it’s about how they feel. How they’re seen. How they carry themselves. And sometimes, getting to see yourself through another perspective can be powerful. In ways it can be like playing a character.  However, I very much enjoy taking photos of other things as well!

AND THAT’S REALLY WHAT ECLIPSE VISION IS ABOUT.

It's not about putting photography into one neat little category, but having the freedom to look at something and think: what could this become?

I loved working with you! Your ability to bring a vision to life is inspiring. Our most recent session pushed me to learn more about my own techniques, but also how important the environment is when you’re creating a scene that gives authenticity. Everything about our shoot from the beginning to end was an amazing experience. I’d most definitely recommend you to any and everyone 🫶🏾🖤

Whether you already know exactly what you want, have a whole moldboard saved, or just a have a vague idea floating around in your head, bring it to me and well figuring it out!

Curious to see what I create for myself?

Not every project begins with a client.

My personal work gives me room to experiment, try something different, and explore the parts of photography that don't always fit neatly into a brief.
